5 weeks from surgery. Scar Close ups

So everyone always asks me about my scar.  How big is it?  Can you see it?  Was the surgery worth it now that you have a giant scar?

Well you can't get rid of skin without scars.  And quite honestly the scar is much less of an eye sore than all the extra skin.  So Yes it was worth it!  The Scar is 28 inches long.  It curves down and around in a few places so that adds inches to the scar.  In other words... its not a straight 28 inches!    yes I can see it.  My husband can see it.  But me in even the skimpiest of bathing suits you are probably not ever gonna see it. Now... if you ask me to see it.... I will show you, just because I am proud of my body and would like to share my story!  And Dr. Buchanan is a freaking talented surgeon who does AMAZING work!

So here is my 5 week updated pictures with close up of the scar!

I think it looks great!  And these pictures are only 5 weeks post surgery.  So I still have swelling that needs to go down and the scars themselves are still very red.  I know they will fade with time.  All of my other surgery scars have turned white over time.  So I have high hopes that these will as well.

I should also mention that Dr. Buchanan knew I wanted to eventually ROCK a bikini.  So he purposely kept the incisions as low as he could which is why I have to add those black boxes!  The incision is RIGHT above my pubic bone.  He went as low as he dared!  :)
